CEPT University is accepting applications for admission to the academic session 2024-25. For B.Des admissions, UCEED 2024 results has been released on the official website (uceed.iitb.ac.in). CEPT University was previously known as ‘Center for Environment, Planning & Technology’; established by the Ahmedabad Education Society (AES) with the support of the Government of Gujarat and the Government of India over 56 years ago in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Until 2002 the institute was autonomous and recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). From 2002 to 2005 it was affiliated to Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University. In 2005, the Government of Gujarat integrated CEPT as a university and the University was recognized as Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) and also recognized by UGC in 2007. CEPT NIRF ranking 2025 is 6th under the Architecture and Planning category.

CEPT University is a set of four different schools that consists of the School of Architecture (SA), School of Planning (SP), School of Building Science and Technology, and School of Interior Designing. CEPT University courses include UG, PG and doctoral programs in various areas such as Architecture, Planning, etc. They believe in providing quality education and hands-on training to its learners in the area of designing, planning, building and managing human abodes.CEPT University fees lean on the higher curve, but they offer scholarships and well to meritorious students providing a fee concession. The institute has a huge focus on research and development in the area of environment planning, urban design, transport, energy conservation, etc. Multiple Centers of Excellence have been established that undertake research-based projects in these areas of study

For CEPT University admissions, the candidate should have a good academic track record and valid scores in the entrance examinations. The university has an active career services office that helps in the placement of its students and also acts as a bridge between the university and prospective employers. CEPT University campus spreads over 12 acres and well-maintained infrastructure along with adequate facilities to students. CEPT University includes a library, labs, workshops, IT services, hotels, etc. Moreover, CEPT University has Student Services Office (SSO) which provides academic, financial, medical, residential and other support services to all students and also has its own press, which seeks to publish works that are meaningful and relevant to academia and the profession, and promote wider understanding and appreciation of architecture, design and urban issues. CEPT University scholarshipsare also provided to students based on their merit, these include merit cum means scholarships as well.

CEPT students organize a variety of activities and events, ranging from music concerts to hands-on workshops to print and graphics workshops to sports, games, debates, and quizzes. Also, the university has several student clubs that offer a multitude of opportunities to become involved and active on the CEPT campus and contribute to the vibrant environment. Furthermore, CEPT University has international collaborations with many foreign universities such as the University of Cincinnati, USA, UNITEC Institute of Technology, New Zealand, Taylor's University, Malaysia, Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Slovakia and many more. Students are required to have at least 70% minimum attendance.
